Birthday gift for a friend, [link]

So this is mixed media, but it's fanart, and so... classifying it was difficult. Just like it always is, thanks to dA's system that's meant to be user-friendly but tries too hard. (Just like Windows Vista.)

Uh, bout the actual picture itself. This was my first time drawing Kadaj, so I'm sure I probably made some mistakes, especially with his costume--although I did try using references, at least. Hopefully it's not super blinding/weird on other people's computers--watercolors don't scan well generally, and then my computer's a flat screen too so I adjusted everything for my monitor, but it may look wonky to everyone else. Ah, well. I feel bad that the background's so half-assed, but I'm still trying to understand how best to use the watercolors in painter.
